29 When he looked up and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother’s son, he asked, ‘Is this your youngest brother that you told me about? ’ Then he said, ‘May God be gracious to you, my son.’

‘We are all sons of one man. We are honest; your servants are not spies.’


But they replied, ‘We, your servants, were twelve brothers, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan. The youngest is now  with our father, and one is no longer living.’


Then you said to your servants, “Bring him to me so that I can see him.”

‘And now plead for God’s favour. Will he be gracious to us?  Since this has come from your hands, will he show any of you favour? ’  asks the Lord of Armies.

Just then  some men  brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, ‘Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.’


Jesus turned and saw her. ‘Have courage, daughter,’ he said. ‘Your faith has saved you.’   , And the woman was made well from that moment.


The disciples were astonished at his words. Again Jesus said to them, ‘Children,   how hard it is   to enter the kingdom of God!


To Timothy,  my true son in the faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the  Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.


So Joshua said to Achan, ‘My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel,  and make a confession to him.  I urge you, tell me what you have done. Don’t hide anything from me.’
