Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the anointed one, the prince, shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublous times.


And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.

But when ye see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not (let him that readeth understand), then let them that are in Judæa flee unto the mountains:


For the days shall come upon thee, when thine enemies shall cast up a bank about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,


But when ye see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that her desolation is at hand.


If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.

and set up false witnesses, who said, This man ceaseth not to speak words against this holy place, and the law:


Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest haply we drift away from them.


Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written therein: for the time is at hand.


He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
