And Na‛omi had a relative on her husband’s side, a man of great wealth, of the clan of Elimeleḵ, and his name was Bo‛az.


And Bo‛az said to Ruth, “You have heard, have you not, my daughter? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close to my young women.


And Na‛omi her mother-in-law said to her, “My daughter, should I not seek rest for you, so that it is well with you?


“And, you shall bathe and anoint yourself, and put your garments on and go down to the threshing-floor. Do not make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking.
