Tet Good is a man showing favour and lending, Yod He sustains his matters in right-ruling.


Pĕ He scattered abroad, He gave to the poor, Tsadi His righteousness is standing forever. Qoph His horn is exalted with esteem.


The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.


But the generous one devises what is generous, and by generous deeds he rises up.


“And give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away what is yours do not ask it back.


So the taught ones, each according to his ability, decided to send relief to the brothers dwelling in Yehuḏah.


“All this I did show you, by labouring like this, that you ought to help the weak. And remember the words of the Master יהושע, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”


For you know the favour of our Master יהושע Messiah, that being rich, He became poor for your sake, so that you might become rich through His poverty.


“יהוה opens to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. And you shall lend to many nations, but you do not borrow.


And do not forget to do good and to share, for with such slaughter offerings Elohim is well pleased.


For Elohim is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love which you have shown toward His Name, in that you have attended to the set-apart ones, and still attend.
