And Aḇshalom said to Ḥushai, “Is this your loving-commitment to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?”


But the sovereign spared Mephiḇosheth son of Yehonathan, son of Sha’ul, because of the oath of יהוה that was between them, between Dawiḏ and Yehonathan son of Sha’ul.


A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.
