But Yoḥanan was hindering Him, saying, “I need to be immersed by You, and You come to me?”
And they were both righteous before Elohim, blamelessly walking in all the commands and righteousnesses of יהוה.
“For I gave you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.
“If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love.
יהושע said to them, “My food is to do the desire of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work.
And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do what pleases Him.
For it was fitting that we should have such a High Priest – kind, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens,
The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.
