And they said to Him, “Yoḥanan the Immerser, and others, Ěliyahu, but others, one of the prophets.”

They told him, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, and still others one of the prophets.”

And they answered him by saying: "John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others perhaps one of the prophets."

Who answered him, saying: John the Baptist; but some Elias, and others as one of the prophets.

“See, I am sending you Ěliyah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of יהוה.

and said to his servants, “This is Yoḥanan the Immerser. He has risen from the dead, and that is why these mighty powers are at work in him.”

And they said, “Some say Yoḥanan the Immerser, and others Ěliyahu, and others Yirmeyahu or one of the prophets.”

And they asked him, “What then, are you Ěliyahu?” So he said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.”
