And it came to be, as He sat at the table at his house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat with יהושע and His taught ones, for there were many, and they followed Him.


Why does this One talk like this? He is blaspheming! Who is able to forgive sins but Elohim alone?


“The Pharisee stood and began to pray with himself this way, ‘Elohim, I thank You that I am not like the rest of men, swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.


For the Son of Aḏam has come to seek and to save what was lost.


And seeing it, they all grumbled, saying, “He has gone in to stay with a man who is a sinner.”


And the Pharisees and their scribes grumbled against His taught ones, saying, “Why do You eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”


And there was a great uproar. And certain of the scribes of the party of Pharisees were earnestly contending, saying, “We find no evil in this man. And if a spirit or a messenger has spoken to him, let us not fight against Elohim.”


But he who is spiritual discerns indeed all matters, but he himself is discerned by no one.


For consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and faint in your lives.
