“With their evil they make a sovereign glad, and rulers with their lies.


Then one of the twelve, called Yehuḏah from Qerioth, went to the chief priests,


and said, “What would you give me to deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.


And Yehuḏah from Qerioth, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to deliver Him up to them.


And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they were slaughtering the Pĕsah lamb, His taught ones said to Him, “Where do You wish us to go and prepare, for You to eat the Pĕsaḥ?”


And Satan entered into Yehuḏah, who was called man from Qerioth, who was numbered among the twelve.


For the love of silver is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some, by longing for it, have strayed from the belief, and pierced themselves through with many pains.


Woe to them! Because they have gone in the way of Qayin, and gave themselves to the delusion of Bil‛am for a reward, and perished in the rebellion of Qoraḥ.
