“And let me bring a piece of bread and refresh your hearts, and then go on, for this is why you have come to your servant.” And they said, “Do as you have said.”
But he urged them strongly, and they turned in to him and came into his house. And he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
And Manowaḥ said to the Messenger of יהוה, “Please let us detain You, and prepare a young goat for You.”
And he said to Him, “Please, if I have found favour in Your eyes, then show me a sign that it is You who are speaking with me.
And Giḏ‛on went in, and prepared a young goat, and unleavened bread from an ĕphah of flour. The meat he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot. And he brought them out to Him, under the terebinth tree, and presented it.
