And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the crowd standing by I said this, in order that they believe that You sent Me.


Therefore many of the Yehuḏim who had come to Miryam, and had seen what יהושע did, believed in Him.


If we let Him alone like this, they all shall believe in Him, and the Romans shall come and take away from us both our place and nation.

On account of this the crowd also met Him, because they heard that He had done this sign.


Still, even among the rulers many did believe in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the congregation,


And many of the crowd believed in Him, and said, “When the Messiah comes, shall He do more signs than these which this One did?”


But when the Yehuḏim saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy. And contradicting and speaking evil, they opposed what Sha’ul was saying.
