And יהוה said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Iyoḇ, that there is none like him on the earth, a perfect and straight man, one who fears Elohim and turns aside from evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.”

This is the genealogy of Noaḥ. Noaḥ was a righteous man, perfect in his generations. Noaḥ walked with Elohim.


And Yo’aḇ answered and said, “Far be it, far be it from me to swallow up or to destroy!


There was a man in the land of Uts, whose name was Iyoḇ. And that man was perfect and straight, and one who feared Elohim and turned aside from evil.


But stretch out Your hand, please, and strike all that he has – if he would not curse You to Your face!”


And the day came to be that the sons of Elohim came to present themselves before יהוה, and Satan also came among them.


And יהוה said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Iyoḇ, that there is none like him on the earth, a perfect and straight man, one who fears Elohim and turns aside from evil?”

For He crushes me with a storm, and has multiplied my wounds for no cause.


If I am righteous? My mouth would declare me wrong. Am I perfect? It would declare me perverse.


Rule me rightly, O יהוה, For I have walked in my integrity. And I have trusted in יהוה, without wavering.


Shin Watch the perfect, and observe the straight; For the latter end of each is peace.


And I, You uphold me in my integrity, And set me before Your face forever.


The righteous is delivered from distress, And the wrong one takes his place.


Righteousness watches over him who is perfect in the way, But wrongness overthrows the sinner.


He who walks in his straightness fears יהוה, But he whose ways are crooked despises Him.


The slaughtering of the wrong ones Is an abomination to יהוה, But the prayer of the straight is His delight.


The highway of the straight Is to turn away from evil; He who guards his life watches over His way.


יהושע answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of Elohim might be made manifest in him.


Not that I have already received, or already been perfected, but I press on, to lay hold of that for which Messiah יהושע has also laid hold of me.


Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him.


in order that the proving of your belief – much more precious than gold that perishes, and proven by fire – might be found to result in praise and respect and esteem at the revelation of יהושע Messiah,


And the Elohim of all favour, who called you to His everlasting esteem by Messiah יהושע, after you have suffered a while, Himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
