My son, let them not depart from your eyes; Watch over sound wisdom and discretion;
“See, I am raising up the Kasdim, a bitter and hasty nation, who is going through the breadth of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs.
“You shall be filled with shame instead of esteem. Drink, you too, and be exposed as uncircumcised! The cup of the right hand of יהוה shall come around to you, and great shame upon your esteem.
“Do you still not understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you picked up?
“Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?
“And that on the good soil are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, retain it, and bear fruit with endurance.
Lay up in your ears these words, for the Son of Aḏam is about to be delivered into the hands of men.
Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but יהושע was hidden and went out of the Set-apart Place, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
