And there was then no sovereign in Eḏom, a deputy was sovereign.


And the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl went, and the sovereign of Yehuḏah and the sovereign of Eḏom, and went round a journey of seven days. And there was no water for the army, nor for the cattle that followed them.


Thus the Eḏomites revolted from under the hand of Yehuḏah to this day. Then Liḇnah revolted from under his hand, because he had forsaken יהוה Elohim of his fathers.


Then Yehoram went out with his officers, and all his chariots with him. And it came to be that he rose by night and struck the Eḏomites who had surrounded him and the commanders of the chariots.


For the Eḏomites had come again, and struck Yehuḏah, and took away captives.
