“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
even as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep.

“No one has greater love than this: that one should lay down his life for his friends.
Who is he who is condemning? It is Messiah who died, and furthermore is also raised up, who is also at the right hand of Elohim, who also makes intercession for us.
For I delivered to you at the first that which I also received: that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
and He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them, and was raised.
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of Elohim.
And walk in love, as Messiah also has loved us, and gave Himself for us, a gift and an offering to Elohim for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
Now, brothers, we do not wish you to be ignorant concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you be sad as others who have no expectation.
For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep.
Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master.
So, then, we should not sleep, as others do, but we should watch and be sober.
