“Go away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the wadi Kerith, which flows into the Yardĕn.


And he went and did according to the word of יהוה, for he went and dwelt by the wadi Kerith, which flows into the Yardĕn.


“Rise up, go to Tsarephath, which belongs to Tsiḏon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to sustain you.”


And when He is silent, who would then condemn? And when He hides His face, who then sees Him, whether it is against a nation or a man alone?


Who provides food for the raven, when its young ones cry to Ěl, and wander about without food?


Giving to the beast its food, To the young ravens that cry.


And Yonah prayed to יהוה his Elohim from the stomach of the fish.


Take the rod and assemble the congregation, you and your brother Aharon. And you shall speak to the rock before their eyes, and it shall give its water. And you shall bring water for them out of the rock and give drink to the congregation and their livestock.


Then the devil left Him, and see, messengers came and attended Him.


But He answering, said, “It has been written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of יהוה.’ ”
