“And see, the divisions of the priests and the Lĕwites for all the service of the House of Elohim, and every volunteer of any skill is with you in all work, for every kind of service. And the rulers and all the people are entirely at your command.”


And the acts of Sovereign Dawiḏ, first and last, see, they are written in the book of Shemu’ĕl the seer, in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gaḏ the seer,


and Oḇaḏyah son of Shemayah, son of Galal, son of Yeḏuthun; and Bereḵyah son of Asa, son of Elqanah, who dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.


So they and their sons were over the gates of the House of יהוה, the House of the Tent, by watches.


And Mattithyah of the Lĕwites, the first-born of Shallum the Qorḥite, was entrusted with the making of the flat cakes.


And he set the gatekeepers at the gates of the House of יהוה, so that no one who was in any way unclean should enter.


And under his hand were Ěḏen, and Minyamin, and Yĕshua, and Shemayahu, Amaryahu, and Sheḵanyahu, in the cities of the priests, to distribute trustworthily to their brothers by divisions, to the great as well as the small.


and to all listed in the genealogy, their little ones and their wives, their sons and daughters, all the company of them. For in their trustworthiness they set themselves apart in set-apartness.


And of the Lĕwites, the divisions of Yehuḏah were for Binyamin.


And on that day some were appointed over the rooms for the stores, for the contributions, for the first-fruits, and for tithes, to gather into them from the fields of the cities the portions required by the Torah for the priests and for the Lĕwites. For Yehuḏah rejoiced over the priests and the Lĕwites who stood up.


Formerly, in Yisra’ĕl, when a man went to inquire of Elohim, he spoke thus, “Come, let us go to the seer,” for the prophet of today was formerly called a seer.
