At that time, when Dawiḏ saw that יהוה had answered him on the threshing-floor of Ornan the Yeḇusite, he slaughtered there,


Bless יהוה, you His messengers, Mighty in power, who do His Word, Listening to the voice of His Word.


“O you sword of יהוה, how long till you rest? Put yourself up into your sheath, rest and be still!


Return it to its sheath. In the place where you were created, in the land of your origin, I shall judge you.


Then יהושע said to him, “Return your sword to its place, for all who take the sword shall die by the sword.


Then יהושע said to Kĕpha, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”


Are they not all serving spirits sent out to attend those who are about to inherit deliverance?
