And Yosĕph saw Ephrayim’s children to the third generation. The children of Maḵir, son of Menashsheh, were also born on Yosĕph’s knees.
And Seḡuḇ brought forth Ya’ir, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gil‛aḏ.
The sons of Menashsheh: his Aramean concubine bore him Maḵir the father of Gil‛aḏ, the father of Asri’ĕl.
Sons of Menashsheh: of Maḵir, the clan of the Maḵirites. And Maḵir brought forth Gil‛aḏ; of Gil‛aḏ, the clan of the Gil‛aḏites.
Then came the daughters of Tselophḥaḏ, son of Ḥĕpher, son of Gil‛aḏ, son of Maḵir, son of Menashsheh, from the clans of Menashsheh, son of Yosĕph. And these were the names of his daughters: Maḥlah, No‛ah, and Ḥoḡlah, and Milkah, and Tirtsah.
And Ya’ir son of Menashsheh went and took its small towns, and called them Ḥawoth Ya’ir.
