Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, it would be utterly scorned.


Behold, I am stirring up the Medes against them, who have no regard for silver and do not delight in gold.


So man is humbled, and men are brought low— forgive them not!


and so I make you despised and abased before all the people, inasmuch as you have not kept my ways but have shown partiality in your instruction.”
