And he went and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that what was spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”


And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus the King of the Jews.”


And the inscription of the charge against him read, “The King of the Jews.”


They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”


There was also an inscription over him, “This is the King of the Jews.”


Nathana-el answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”


Pilate entered the praetorium again and called Jesus, and said to him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”


Upon this Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend; every one who makes himself a king sets himself against Caesar.”

The chief priests of the Jews then said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘This man said, I am King of the Jews.’ ”


they came up to him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and struck him with their hands.


“I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of Jesus of Nazareth.


But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but I give you what I have; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”
