and said, “By myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this, and have not withheld your son, your only son,
Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of sons is their fathers.
By myself I have sworn, from my mouth has gone forth in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.’
Lo, these shall come from afar, and lo, these from the north and from the west, and these from the land of Syene.”
Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and raise my signal to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.
Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean.
