But the woman conceived, and she bore a son about that time the following spring, as Elisha had said to her.
And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.
This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are reckoned as descendants.
But the son of the slave was born according to the flesh, the son of the free woman through promise.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful;
