Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.


I cleave to thy testimonies, O Lord; let me not be put to shame!


And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.


When he came and saw the grace of God, he was glad; and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose;


You shall fear the Lord your God; you shall serve him and cleave to him, and by his name you shall swear.


“You shall therefore love the Lord your God, and keep his charge, his statutes, his ordinances, and his commandments always.


“And if you will obey my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,


provided you are careful to keep all this commandment, which I command you this day, by loving the Lord your God and by walking ever in his ways—then you shall add three other cities to these three,


loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice, and cleaving to him; for that means life to you and length of days, that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”


You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.


Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
