So the king said to Joab, the commander of his army, ‘Go through all the tribes of Israel from Dan to Beer-sheba and register the troops so I can know their number.’


So the Lord sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand Israelite men died.


Joab son of Zeruiah began to count them, but he didn’t complete it. There was wrath against Israel because of this census,  and the number was not entered in the Historical Record  of King David.


Dodai the Ahohite was in charge of the division for the second month, and Mikloth was the leader; 24,000 were in his division.


Then  the angel of the Lord   went out and struck down one hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning, there were all the dead bodies!


Lord, I have heard the report about you; Lord, I stand in awe of your deeds. Revive your work in these years; make it known in these years. In your wrath remember mercy!


but those who died in the plague numbered twenty-four thousand.


For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines   , and earthquakes in various places.


And I looked, and there was a pale-green  horse. Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following after him.  They were  given authority  over a fourth of the earth, to kill by the sword, by famine, by plague, and by the wild animals of the earth.


God struck down the people of Beth-shemesh because they looked inside the ark of the Lord.  , He struck down seventy persons.  The people mourned because the Lord struck them with a great slaughter.
