When he looked up and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother’s son, he asked, ‘Is this your youngest brother that you told me about? ’ Then he said, ‘May God be gracious to you, my son.’


However, Ahimaaz son of Zadok persisted and said to Joab, ‘No matter what, please let me also run behind the Cushite! ’ Joab replied, ‘My son, why do you want to run since you won’t get a reward? ’


Just then  some men  brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, ‘Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.’


He ran to Eli and said, ‘Here I am; you called me.’ ‘I didn’t call,’ Eli replied. ‘Go back and lie down.’ So he went and lay down.


Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, because the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.


The man said to Eli, ‘I’m the one who came from the battle.  I fled from there today.’ ‘What happened, my son? ’  Eli asked.
