Let seuen men of his sonnes bee deliuered vnto vs, and wee will hang them vp vnto the Lord in Gibeah of Saul, whome the Lord did chuse. And the king said, I will giue them.


And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan.


They are gone ouer the passage: they haue taken vp their lodging at Geba, Ramah is afraid, Gebeah of Saul is fled.


Declare ye in Iudah, and publish in Ierusalem, and say, Blow yee the Trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble your selues, and let vs goe into the defenced cities.


O yee children of Beniamin, gather your selues to flee out of the middest of Ierusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa: and set vp a signe of fire in Beth-haccerem: for euill appeareth out of the North, and great destruction.


The inhabitants of Samaria shall feare, because of the calues of Bethauen: for the people thereof shall mourne ouer it, and the priests thereof that reioyced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.


Though thou Israel play the harlot, yet let not Iudah offend, and come not ye vnto Gilgal, neither goe ye vp to Beth-auen, nor sweare, The Lord liueth:


Set the Trumpet to thy mouth: hee shall come as an Eagle against the house of the Lord, because they haue transgressed my Couenant, and trespassed against my Lawe.


They haue deeply corrupted themselues as in the dayes of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquitie, he will visite their sinnes.


Blow yee the trumpet in Zion, & sound an alarme in my holy mountaine: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nie at hand;


Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctifie a fast, call a solemne assembly.


Shall a trumpet be blowen in the citie, and the people not be afraid? shall there be euill in a citie, and the Lord hath not done it?


And Ioshua sent men from Iericho to Ai, which is beside Beth-auen, on the East side of Bethel, and spake vnto them, saying, Goe vp and view the countrey. And the men went vp, and viewed Ai.


Out of Ephraim was there a roote of them against Amalek, after thee Beniamin, among thy people: Out of Machir came downe gouernours, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.


Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went vp to his house to Gibeah of Saul.


And his returne was to Ramah: for there was his house: and there hee iudged Israel, and there hee built an altar vnto the Lord.


Then all the Elders of Israel gathered themselues together, and came to Samuel vnto Ramah,
