And his brethren envied him; but his father kept the saying in mind.

And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.


And Jehovah smelled the sweet savor; and Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake, for that the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done.


They envied Moses also in the camp, And Aaron the saint of Jehovah.


Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, Neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness.


The soul of the wicked desireth evil: His neighbor findeth no favor in his eyes.


Then I saw all labor and every skilful work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.


The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and they that vex Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.


And Moses said unto him, Art thou jealous for my sake? would that all Jehovah’s people were prophets, that Jehovah would put his Spirit upon them!


God is not a man, that he should lie, Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and will he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and will he not make it good?


If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken),


And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.


Hath not the scripture said that the Christ cometh of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?


And the patriarchs, moved with jealousy against Joseph, sold him into Egypt: and God was with him,


being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,


For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, For this very purpose did I raise thee up, that I might show in thee my power, and that my name might be published abroad in all the earth.


Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;


And what agreement hath a temple of God with idols? for we are a temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.


And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all the nations be blessed.


For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.
