As a new challenge for the entire production of the Christian series “The Chosen”, the project is exanding its reach around the world since its premiere in 2019.
With subtitles in 90 languages such as Arabic, Chinese and Spanish, The Chosen, which is not only a series but also an evangelistic ministry, is reaching the hearts of people around the world.
It also has dubbing in seven languages, which amplifies its reach through the Internet and other streaming methods.
Its second season, just released, already has subtitles in 30 languages and they are working to add others.
So far, 250 million times the series has been viewed in countries such as India, New Zealand, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.
“We’re going to get it out to a billion people, and we won’t stop at anything until Jesus comes. That’s the only thing that will stop us – if Jesus comes,” Derral Eves, executive producer of the series, told Christian Headlines.
“From day one, when we realized that we wanted to get this out to a billion people, we had to figure out an international play. And the best way to go international is to make the app available for anyone in the world from any country to download. And it is available in almost every country,” he explained.
“The Chosen is humanizing characters in a way that’s fresh, that’s raw, that’s real. And every person that walks the face of the earth can relate. They know someone like that, or they’re like that,” he added.
In addition, the production declares that the content is providing the light that others around the world need.
“The Chosen is lighting people’s lives. We live in a dark world. Therefore, it will highlight any content that has light,” said Eves.
Its third season is already in pre-production.
