Making history: Israeli army captures Hamas parliament in Gaza and proclaims Psalm of David.

The photograph, seen as a historic moment, went viral on social media platforms, showing the soldiers posing together and holding Israeli flags.

Israel’s former Defense Minister and current member of the country’s crisis cabinet, Benny Gantz, accompanied the image with a quote from Psalm 18:37, attributed to David:

“I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed.”

In the past, Gantz vowed to completely eliminate the Palestinian terror group after Israel’s deadliest attack on Oct. 6.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Monday that Hamas had “lost its grip” on Gaza.

“The Hamas organization has lost control of Gaza. Terrorists are fleeing south. Civilians are looting Hamas bases. They have no confidence in the government,” says Gallant, after an assessment of the fighting.

“There is no force of Hamas capable of stopping the IDF. The IDF is advancing to every point, he added.

On Tuesday 14th, the Israeli armed forces took command of the Hamas military police operations center in Gaza.

Michael Milshtein, who heads the Palestine Studies Forum at Tel Aviv University’s Dayan Center, shared on X, two photographs of the Hamas parliament.

One of the images showed members of the group during what appeared to be a parliamentary session, while the other showed the presence of the Israeli army at the same location.
