Asbury Revival: God using students to wake a nation with a nonstop prayer service

You would think that the information below is something unlikely to happen, but when God is present everything can happen, as experienced by Asbury University in the United States of America, which held a prayer service that did not stop for 5 days.

Asbury Revival: God using students to wake a nation with a nonstop prayer service.

Without a doubt, revival is taking place in the hearts of the people in their congregations and the number of people who attended Asbury University those five days is proof of that.

It all started as a prayer service in the house of studies in Wilmore, but ended up becoming a total revival. As hours passed by, more and more people were joining, which turned into five days of non-stop intercession and worship to God, a genuine move of God.

From Wednesday until Sunday, 1,500 people came to the place. In videos shared on Instagram, you can see the dramatic change of space, in which many young people ended up on their knees before God’s presence.

After preaching today, the service continued. Students are worshiping, praying, healing, confessing. God is at work,” said Pastor Zachary Michael of Weare Envision who testified about the site move.

Reports from several local media indicate that several skeptics and non-believers came to the place to criticize what was happening but when they saw the environment they simply did not know how to react because there were people of all ages seeking the face of God through worship, prayer and fast too.

“I’ve seen a lot of skepticism online about what is happening at Asbury University right now. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical myself. I was dreading pulling up to Asbury because I was scared it would be a waste of time. I’m so glad I was wrong” wrote Jordan Evans.

“I joked that I wanted to lay down and take a nap, run a lap, weep, and laugh, all at the same time. We (my wife and I) worshipped for 6 hours straight and it felt like only 15 minutes had gone by, like time slowing down or standing still in this move of God. No hype here,” Evans added.

These types of events and meetings have been traditional in US universities for more than 50 years, where it began as a morning service and is now an exchange of testimonials from young students who focus on cultivating a relationship with God.

One of the first meetings in 1970 brought together hundreds of thousands of people in an auditorium with a capacity for 1,500, for that year there were 185 hours of prayer, praise, and testimonies in which the Lord was glorified.
