Airplane passengers used by God to prevent a woman´s death while flying

Todd Starnes is a conservative author and radio host. While he was on a flight from Dallas to New York City earlier this month, he witnessed “a miracle.

“It must have been scary, but there was such a calm atmosphere on board,” Starnes told Faithwire about the October 6 trip. “The Lord was clearly in control.”

One of the passengers on board was having a heart attack while they were in the air at a height of 30,000 feet.

At that time, one of the hostesses informed the intercom that the woman needed a doctor; Staff members soon learned that there were five doctors on board, including a cardiologist.

The cardiologist needed a way to control the patient’s vital signs. It turned out that one of the men on the flight had an application on his phone to perform such an action.

 

Gradually the passengers began to calm down again, but another report leaked through the speaker system, Starnes recalled. The doctor needed a special medication that he should give the woman.

Shared humanity

The writer knew very well what the woman was going through, since in 2005 he underwent open-heart surgery, in order to replace his aortic valve with a mechanical valve.

“As a cardiac patient, you think about what would happen if you had an episode on a plane or driving on the road,” he said.

When the pilot was informed of what was happening, the plane was diverted to Baltimore, where the woman was treated by paramedics on the ground.

 

After 45 minutes, the rest of the passengers headed back to New York City.

The incident reminded the announcer of shared humanity, as there are still moments of hope when problematic situations occur, all this when we join forces and work together for a common good.

“The passengers in my section of the plane actually stopped watching TV screens and left their smartphones to participate in what was happening,” said Starnes.

“They kept coming back and asking to see my medications and a boy marveled at the” coincidence. ” I remember saying quietly:: No, sir. It is not a coincidence. It is God, ”he added.
