On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank of the great river (that is, the Tigris)


On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your offspring I give[3] this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,


saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates."


Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours. Your territory shall be from the wilderness to[4] the Lebanon and from the River, the river Euphrates, to the western sea.


Turn and take your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, in the hill country and in the lowland and in the Negeb and by the seacoast, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.


They settled from Havilah to Shur, which is opposite Egypt in the direction of Assyria. He settled[1] over against all his kinsmen.


The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.


From that land he went into Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, and


The name of the second river is the Gihon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Cush.


The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.


the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them, desirable young men, governors and commanders all of them, officers and men of renown, all of them riding on horses.
