Suppose thou didst desire to go to thy friends, and hadst a longing after thy father's house: why hast thou stolen away my gods?


And David longed, and said: O that some man would get me a drink of the water out of the cistern, that is in Bethlehem, by the gate!


And they rose early in the morning, and went out through the desert of Thecua. And as they were marching Josaphat standing in the midst of them said: Hear me, ye men of Juda, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be secure. Believe his prophets, and all things shall succeed well.


And the churches were confirmed in faith, and increased in number daily.


And when these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying: After I have been there, I must see Rome also.


And when Paul had imposed his hands on them, the Holy Ghost came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.


That is to say, that I may be comforted together in you, by that which is common to us both, your faith and mine.


But now having no more place in these countries, and having a great desire these many years past to come unto you,


And I know, that when I come to you, I shall come in the abundance of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.


That I may come to you with joy, by the will of God, and may be refreshed with you.


Now to him that is able to establish you, according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret from eternity,


And in this confidence I had a mind to come to you before, that you might have a second grace:


Now he that confirmeth us with you in Christ, and that hath anointed us, is God:


For if he that cometh preacheth another Christ, whom we have not preached; or if you receive another Spirit, whom you have not received; or another gospel which you have not received; you might well bear with him.


And in their praying for you, being desirous of you, because of the excellent grace of God in you.


For God is my witness, how I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.


For indeed he longed after you all: and was sad, for that you had heard that he was sick.


Therefore, my dearly beloved brethren, and most desired, my joy and my crown; so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.


To confirm your hearts without blame, in holiness, before God and our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his saints. Amen.


And we sent Timothy, our brother, and the minister of God in the gospel of Christ, to confirm you and exhort you concerning your faith:


But God is faithful, who will strengthen and keep you from evil.


Be not led away with various and strange doctrines. For it is best that the heart be established with grace, not with meats; which have not profited those that walk in them.


But the God of all grace, who hath called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you, and confirm you, and establish you.


By Sylvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I think, I have written briefly: beseeching and testifying that this is the true grace of God, wherein you stand.


For which cause I will begin to put you always in remembrance of these things: though indeed you know them, and are confirmed in the present truth.
