For he had taken money, that I being afraid should do this thing and sin; and they might have some evil to upbraid me withal.


The dissembler with his mouth deceiveth his friend: but the just shall be delivered by knowledge.


He that neglecteth a loss for the sake of a friend, is just: but the way of the wicked shall deceive them.


A perverse man stirreth up quarrels: and one full of words separateth princes.


He that with fixed eyes deviseth wicked things, biting his lips, bringeth: evil to pass.


Envy not the unjust man, and do not follow his ways:


You therefore, brethren, knowing these things before, take heed, lest being led aside by the error of the unwise, you fall from your own steadfastness.


Saul therefore sent his guards to David's house to watch him, that he might be killed in the morning. And when Michol David's wife had told him this, saying: Unless thou save thyself this night, to-morrow thou wilt die,


And Saul said to Michol: Why hast thou deceived me so, and let my enemy go and flee away? And Michol answered Saul: Because he said to me: Let me go, or else I will kill thee.
