And I understood that God had not sent him: but that he had spoken to me as if he had been prophesying; and Tobias, and Sanaballat had hired him.


And I sent messengers to them, saying: I am doing a great work, and I cannot come down, lest it be neglected whilst I come and go down to you.


For all these men thought to frighten us, thinking that our hands would cease from the work, and that we would leave off. Wherefore I strengthened my hands the more.


and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?


That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people.


The wicked man fleeth, when no man pursueth: but the just, bold as a lion, shall be without dread.


Dying flies spoil the sweetness of the ointment. Wisdom and glory is more precious than a small and shortlived folly.


And the glory of his forest and of his beautiful hill shall be consumed from the soul even to the flesh: and he shall run away through fear.


To Aaron and to his sons, to whom they are delivered by the children of Israel. But thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons over the service of priesthood. The stranger that approacheth to minister shall be put to death.


But I fear none of these things, neither do I count my life more precious than myself, so that I may consummate my course and the ministry of the word which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.


Then Paul answered, and said: What do you mean weeping and afflicting my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but to die also in Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord Jesus.


AND at that time there was raised a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all dispersed through the countries of Judea, and Samaria, except the apostles.


Yea, and if I be made a victim upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice, and congratulate with you all.


Because for the work of Christ he came to the point of death: delivering his life, that he might fulfil that which on your part was wanting towards my service.


By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the fierceness of the king: for he endured as seeing him that is invisible.


And he put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine; and the Lord wrought great salvation for all Israel. Thou sawest it and didst rejoice. Why therefore wilt thou sin against innocent blood by killing David, who is without fault?
