But Core the son of Jemna the Levite, the porter of the east gate, was overseer of the things which were freely offered to the Lord, and of the first-fruits and the things dedicated for the Holy of Holies.


Be thou exalted, O God, above the I heavens: and thy glory above all the earth.


But they have thought to cast away my price; I ran in thirst: they blessed with their mouth, but cursed with their heart.


In God is my salvation and my glory: he is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.


Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,


And it shall be a lamb without blemish, a male, of one year: according to which rite also you shall take a kid.


And it is much better not to vow, than after a vow not to perform the things promised.


And if the offering be of the flocks, a holocaust of sheep or of goats, he shall offer a male without blemish.


Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The man among you that shall offer to the Lord a sacrifice of the cattle, that is, offering victims of oxen and sheep:


If any man whosoever of the house of Israel, and of the strangers that sojourn among them, eat blood, I will set my face against his soul, and will cut him off from among his people.


Any man whosoever of the children of Israel, and of the strangers that sojourn among you, if by hunting or fowling he take a wild beast or a bird, which is lawful to eat, let him pour out its blood, and cover it with earth.


And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:


Besides the sabbaths of the Lord, and your gifts, and those things that you offer by vow, or which you shall give to the Lord voluntarily.


If any man by vow, or of his own accord offer a sacrifice, it shall in like manner be eaten the same day. And if any of it remain until the morrow, it is lawful to eat it.


And offer a sacrifice of praise with leaven: and call free offerings, and proclaim it: for so you would do, O children of Israel, saith the Lord God.


And the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and sacrificed victims to the Lord, and made vows.


They that are vain observe vanities, forsake their own mercy.


Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, and that preacheth peace: O Juda, keep thy festivals, and pay thy vows: for Belial shall no more pass through thee again, he is utterly cut off.


Cursed is the deceitful man that hath in his flock a male, and making a vow offereth in sacrifice that which is feeble to the Lord: for I am a great King, saith the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the Gentiles.


And shall make an offering to the Lord, for a holocaust, or a victim, paying your vows, or voluntarily offering gifts, or in your solemnities burning a sweet savour unto the Lord, of oxen or of sheep:


But Paul, when he had stayed yet many days, taking his leave of the brethren, sailed thence into Syria (and with him Priscilla and Aquila), having shorn his head in Cenchrae: for he had a vow.


Thou mayst not eat in thy towns the tithes of thy corn, and thy wine, and thy oil, the firstborn of thy herds and thy cattle, nor any thing that thou vowest, and that thou wilt offer voluntarily, and the first-fruits of thy hands.


And you shall offer in that place your holocausts and victims, the tithes and first-fruits of your hands and your vows and gifts, the firstborn of your herds and your sheep.


And thou shalt celebrate the festival of weeks to the Lord thy God: a voluntary oblation of thy hand, which thou shalt offer according to the blessing of the Lord thy God.
