And tearing his garments, he put on sackcloth, mourning for his son a long time.


But David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, going up and weeping, walking barefoot, and with his head covered: and all the people that were with them went up with their heads covered weeping.


Then Job rose up, and rent his garments: and having shaven his head fell down upon the ground and worshipped,


In the nights lift up your hands to the holy places, and bless ye the Lord.


And thou shalt pour the oil of unction upon his head: and by this rite shall he be consecrated.


Sigh in silence, make no mourning for the dead: let the tire of thy head be upon thee, and thy shoes on thy feet, and cover not thy face, nor eat the meat of mourners.


Shall have his clothes hanging loose, his head bare, his mouth covered with a cloth: and he shall cry out that he is defiled and unclean.


And the priest that is anointed, and whose hands are consecrated to do the office of the priesthood in his father's stead, shall make atonement. And he shall be vested with the linen robe and the holy vestments.


If the priest that is anointed shall sin, making the people to offend, he shall offer to the Lord for his sin a calf without blemish.


And he poured it upon Aaron's head: and he anointed and consecrated him.


The innocent shall be delivered from the hand of the revenger, and shall be brought back by sentence into the city, to which he had fled: and he shall abide there until the death of the high priest, that is anointed with the holy oil.


Neither shall he make himself unclean, even for his father, or for his mother, or for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head.


Then the high priests rent his garments, saying: He hath blasphemed; what further need have we of witnesses? Behold, now you have heard the blasphemy:
