How is the faithful city, that was full of judgment, become a harlot? justice dwelt in it, but now murderers.


And many people shall go, and say: Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob: and he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For the law shall come forth from Sion: and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.


The Lord is magnified, for he hath dwelt on high: he hath filled Sion with judgment and justice.


And thou shalt be founded in justice. Depart far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear: and from terror, for it shall not come near thee.


And the children of them that afflict thee shall come bowing down to thee: and all that slandered thee shall worship the steps of thy feet and shall call thee the city of the Lord, the Sion of the Holy One of Israel.


And thy people shall be all just, they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hand, to glorify me.


Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: As yet shall they say this word in the land of Juda and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring back their captivity: The Lord bless thee, the beauty of justice, the holy mountain.


The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say: Give ye glory to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for his mercy endureth for ever. And of them that shall bring their vows into the house of the Lord: for I will bring back the captivity of the land as at the first, saith the Lord.


And I will bring back the captivity of Juda and the captivity of Jerusalem: and I will build them as from the beginning.


He shall have a portion of the lead in Israel: and the princes shall no more rob my people: but they shall give the land to the house of Israel according to their tribes:


And thou, O cloudy tower of the flock, of the daughter of Sion, unto thee shall it come: yea the first power shall come, the kingdom to the daughter of Jerusalem.


The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed, and shall lie down, and there shall be none to make them afraid.


Because then I will restore to the people a chosen lip, that all may call upon the name of the Lord, and may serve him with one shoulder.


Thus saith the Lord of hosts: I am returned to Sion, and I will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, The sanctified mountain.


And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God in truth and in justice.


(For Moses was a man exceeding meek above all men that dwelt upon earth)


Moses therefore being very angry said to the Lord: Respect not their sacrifices. Thou knowest that I have not taken of them so much as a young ass at any time: nor have injured any of them.


There shall not enter into it any thing defiled, or that worketh abomination or maketh a lie, but they that are written in the book of life of the Lamb.
