Have I therefore been with thee twenty years? Thy ewes and goats were not barren, the rams of thy flocks I did not eat.


Day and night was I parched with heat, and with frost; and sleep departed from my eyes.


You shall be holy men to me: the flesh that beasts have tasted of before, you shall not eat, but shall cast it to the dogs.


To do any fraud, either in ox, or in ass, or sheep, or raiment, or any thing that may bring damage. The cause of both parties shall come to the gods: and if they give judgment, he shall restore double to his neighbour.


That which dieth of itself, and that which was taken by a beast, they shall not eat, nor be defiled therewith. I am the Lord.


And there were in the same country shepherds watching, and keeping the night watches over their flock.
