12 And he said to him: I will be with thee. And this thou shalt have for a sign, that I have sent thee: When thou shalt have brought my people out of Egypt, thou shalt offer sacrifice to God upon this mountain.

Now when these things were done, the word of the Lord came to Abram by a vision, saying: Fear not, Abram, I am thy protector, and thy reward exceeding great.


But he said: Lord God, whereby may I know that I shall possess it?


And sojourn in it, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee: for to thee and to thy seed I will give all these countries, to fulfill the oath which I swore to Abraham thy father.


Especially the Lord saying to him: Return into the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred, and I will be with thee.


And to thee, O Ezechias, this shall be a sign: Eat this year what thou shalt find: and in the second year such things as spring of themselves: but in the third year sow and reap: plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

And Jethro, the kinsman of Moses, came with his sons and his wife, to Moses into the desert, where he was camped by the mountain of God.


Now Moses fed the sheep of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Madian: and he drove the flock to the inner parts of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, Horeb.


Moses said to God: Lo, I shall go to the children of Israel, and say to them: The God of your fathers hath sent me to you. If they should say to me: What is his name? What shall I say to them?


And the Lord said: My face shall go before thee, and I will give thee rest.


Go therefore, and I will be in thy mouth: and I will teach thee what thou shalt speak.


Speak to him, and put my words in his mouth: and I will be in thy mouth, and in his mouth, and will shew you what you must do.


We will go three days' journey into the wilderness: and we will sacrifice to the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.


But to thee this shall be a sign: Eat this year the things that spring of themselves, and in the second year eat fruits; but in the third year sow and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.


Fear not, for I am with thee: turn not aside, for I am thy God. I have strengthened thee and have helped thee: and the right hand of my just one hath upheld thee.


When thou shalt pass through the waters, I will be with thee: and the rivers shall not cover thee. When thou shalt walk in the fire, thou shalt not be burnt: and the flames shall not burn in thee.


Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign. Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel.


Be not afraid at their presence: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.


And Moses said: By this you shall know that the Lord hath sent me to do all things that you see, and that I have not forged them of my own head.


There is no idol in Jacob, neither is there an image-god to be seen in Israel. The Lord his God is with him: and the sound of the victory of the king in him.


Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.


But they going forth preached every where: the Lord working withal, and confirming the word with signs that followed.


And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believing, were converted to the Lord.


And the nation which they shall serve will I judge, said the Lord; and after these things they shall go out, and shall serve me in this place.


What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who is against us?


And the Lord commanded Josue the son of Nun, and said: Take courage, and be valiant: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I have promised, and I will be with thee.


Let your manners be without covetousness, contented with such things as you have; for he hath said: I will not leave thee, neither will I forsake thee.


No man shall be able to resist you all the days of thy life. As I have been with Moses, so will I be with thee: I will not leave thee, nor forsake thee.


The angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said: The Lord is with thee, O most valiant of men.


And the Lord said to him: I will be with thee: and thou shalt cut off Madian as one man.


And he said: If I have found grace before thee, give me a sign that it is thou that speakest to me:


The angel of the Lord put forth the tip of the rod, which he held in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened loaves. And there arose a fire from the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened loaves: and the angel of the Lord vanished out of his sight.


And when thou shalt hear what they are saying, then shall thy hands be strengthened, and thou shalt go down more secure to the enemies' camp. And he went down with Phara his servant into part of the camp, where was the watch of men in arms.


But if they shall say: Come up to us; Let us go up, because the Lord hath delivered them into our hands. This shall be a sign unto us.
