And they roasted the phase with fire, according to that which is written in the law: but the victims of peace-offerings they boiled in caldrons, and kettles, and pots, and they distributed them speedily among all the people.


And they made their life bitter with hard works in clay, and brick, and with all manner of service, wherewith they were overcharged in the works of the earth.


You shall not eat thereof any thing raw, nor boiled in water, but only roasted at the fire. You shall eat the head with the feet and entrails thereof.


And Moses said to the people: Remember this day in which you came forth out of Egypt, and out of the house of bondage, for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought you forth out of this place: that you eat no leavened bread.


Unleavened bread shall you eat seven days: there shall not be seen any thing leavened with thee, nor in all thy coasts.


Thou shalt not sacrifice the blood of my victim upon leaven: neither shall the fat of my solemnity remain until the morning.


Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice upon leaven: neither shall there remain in the morning any thing of the victim of the solemnity of the Phase.


And the Lord was pleased to bruise him in infirmity. If he shall lay down his life for sin, he shall see a long-lived seed: and the will of the Lord shall be prosperous in his hand.


And offer a sacrifice of praise with leaven: and call free offerings, and proclaim it: for so you would do, O children of Israel, saith the Lord God.


And I will pour out upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace, and of prayers: and they shall look upon me, whom they have pierced: and they shall mourn for him as one mourneth for an only son, and they shall grieve over him, as the manner is to grieve for the death of the firstborn.


Then they understood that he said not that they should beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.


And whilst they were at supper, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke: and gave to his disciples, and said: Take ye, and eat. This is my body.


A little leaven corrupteth the whole lump.


And thou shalt dress, and eat it in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose: and in the morning rising up thou shalt go into thy dwellings.


And you became followers of us, and of the Lord; receiving the word in much tribulation, with joy of the Holy Ghost:
