And he gave David the number of them, whom he had surveyed. And all the number of Israel was found to be eleven hundred thousand men that drew the sword: and of Juda four hundred and seventy thousand fighting men.


And Roboam came to Jerusalem, and called together all the house of Juda and of Benjamin, a hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men and warriors, to fight against Israel, and to bring back his kingdom to him.


Three years he reigned in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Michaia, the daughter of Uriel of Gabaa. And there was war between Abia and Jeroboam.


And Abia stood upon mount Semeron, which was in Ephraim, and said: Hear me, O Jeroboam, and all Israel:
