The Lord will reward me according to my justice: and according to the cleanness of my hands he will render to me.


And the Lord shall return his blood upon his own head, because he murdered two men, just and better than himself; and slew them with the sword, my father David not knowing it: Abner the son of Ner, general of the army of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, general of the army of Juda.


And their blood shall return the head of Joab, and upon the head of his seed for ever. But to David and his seed and his house, and to his throne be peace for ever from the Lord.


The Lord judgeth the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice, and according to my innocence in me.


Thou shalt fly lying. The innocent and just person thou shalt not put to death: because I abhor the wicked.


Who keepest mercy unto thousands: who takest away iniquity, and wickedness, and sin, and no man of himself is innocent before thee. Who renderest the iniquity of the fathers to the children, and to the grandchildren, unto the third and fourth generation.


Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and shall be filled with their own devices.


He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, both are abominable before God.


Therefore shall he say: In the Lord are my justices and empire; they shall come to him, and all that resist him shall be confounded.


That giveth upon usury and that taketh an increase: shall such a one live? He shall not live. Seeing he hath done all these detestable things, he shall surely die: his blood shall be upon him.


The soul that sinneth, the same shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, and the father shall not bear the iniquity of the son. The justice of the just shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.


Therefore will I judge every man according to his ways, O house of Israel, saith the Lord God. Be converted, and do penance for all your iniquities: and iniquity shall not be your ruin.


Therefore neither shall my eye spare nor will I have pity: I will requite their way upon their head.


And when she hath drunk them, if she be defiled, and having despised her husband be guilty of adultery, the malediction shall go through her: and her belly swelling, her thigh shall rot. And the woman shall be a curse, and an example to all the people.


For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.


And I lived some time without the law. But when the commandment came, sin revived,


If there be a controversy between men, and they call upon the judges: they shall give the prize of justice to him whom they perceive to be just. And him whom they find to be wicked they shall condemn of wickedness.


If one man shall sin against another, God may be appeased in his behalf: but if a man shall sin against the Lord, who shall pray for him? And they hearkened not to the voice of their father, because the Lord would slay them.
