10 Therefore, behold, I will bring evils upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up, and the last in Israel. And I will sweep away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as dung is swept away till all be clean.

And for this cause did the house of Jeroboam sin: and was cut off and destroyed from the face of the earth.


And when he was king and sat upon his throne, he slew all the house of Baasa: and he left not one thereof to piss against a wall, and all his kinsfolks and friends.


Behold, I will cut down the posterity of Baasa, and the posterity of his house: and I will make thy house as the house of Jeroboam the son of Nabat.


Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and I will cut down thy posterity, and I will kill of Achab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up, and the last in Israel.


For the Lord saw the affliction of Israel that it was exceeding bitter, and that they were consumed even to them that were shut up in prison, and the lowest persons, and that there was no one to help Israel.


And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the weight of the house of Achab. And I will efface Jerusalem, as tables are wont to be effaced: and I will erase and turn it, and draw the pencil often over the face thereof.


And the flesh of Jezabel shall be as dung upon the face of the earth in the field of Jezrahel, so that they who pass by shall say: Is this that same Jezabel?


In the end he shall be destroyed like a dunghill; and they that has seen him shall say: Where is he?


Behold, O God our protector: and look on the face of thy Christ.


But thou art cast out of thy grave, as an unprofitable branch, defiled, and wrapped up among them that were slain by the sword: and art gone down to the bottom of the pit, as a rotten carcass.


And I will make it a possession for the ericius, and pools of waters: and I will sweep it and wear it out with a besom, saith the Lord of hosts.


Therefore is the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched out his hand upon them, and struck them: and the mountains were troubled, and their carcasses became as dung in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


Thou shewest mercy unto thousands and returnest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them. O most mighty, great, and powerful: the Lord of hosts is thy name.


And they shall spread them abroad to the sun and the moon and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved and whom they have served and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought and adored. They shall not be gathered, and they shall not be buried: they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth.


And they shall break down the walls of Tyre and destroy the towers thereof: and I will scrape her dust from her and make her like a smooth rock.


Shall the trumpet sound in a city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, which the Lord hath not done?


And I will distress men, and they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as earth, and their bodies as dung.


Behold, I will cast the shoulder to you, and I will scatter upon your face the dung of your solemnities, and it shall take you away with it.


The Lord will judge his people, and will have mercy on his servants. He shall see that their hand is weakened, and that they who were shut up have also failed, and they that remained are consumed.


Wherefore thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father should minister in my sight, for ever. But now saith the Lord: Far be this from me. But whosoever shall glorify me, him will I glorify; but they that despise me, shall be despised.


May God do so and so, and add more to the foes of David, if I leave of all that belong to him till the morning any that pisseth against the wall.


Otherwise, as the Lord liveth the God of Israel, who hath withholden me from doing thee any evil: if thou hadst not quickly come to meet me, there had not been left to Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.
