And Jacob called the name of the place Phanuel, saying: I have seen God face to face, and my soul has been saved.


And I shall be clothed again with my skin: and in my flesh I will see my God.


Behold, God is great, exceeding our knowledge: the number of his years is inestimable.


And the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man is wont to speak to his friend. And when he returned into the camp, his servant Josue the son of Nun, a young man, departed not from the tabernacle.


Son of man, put forth a riddle and speak a parable to the house of Israel,


For I speak to him mouth to mouth, and plainly: and not by riddles and figures doth he see the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak ill of my servant Moses?


See that you despise not one of these little ones: for I say to you, that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.


Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God.


As the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father: and I lay down my life for my sheep.


For I reckon that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with the glory to come, that shall be revealed in us.


When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But, when I became a man, I put away the things of a child.


But if any man love God, the same is known by him.


But we all beholding the glory of the Lord with open face, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.


(For we walk by faith, and not by sight.)


Not as though I has already attained, or were already perfect; but I follow after, if I may by any means apprehend, wherein I am also apprehended by Christ Jesus.


For if a man be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he shall be compared to a man beholding his own countenance in a glass.


Dearly beloved, we are now the sons of God; and it hath not yet appeared what we shall be. We know, that, when he shall appear, we shall be like to him: because we shall see him as he is.


And they shall see his face: and his name shall be on their foreheads.
