For everyone who asks, receives; and whoever seeks, finds; and to anyone who knocks, it will be opened.


And sitting down, he called the twelve, and he said to them, "If anyone wants to be first, he shall be the last of all and the minister of all."


John responded to him by saying, "Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name; he does not follow us, and so we prohibited him."


And he said to them: "Whoever will receive this child in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives him who sent me. For whoever is the lesser among you all, the same is greater."


loving one another with fraternal charity, surpassing one another in honor:


And he is the head of his body, the Church. He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, so that in all things he may hold primacy.


Everyone who withdraws and does not remain in the doctrine of Christ, does not have God. Whoever remains in the doctrine, such a one as this has both the Father and the Son.


Therefore, we must accept such as these, in order that we may cooperate with the truth.
