All these days I appeared to you. I didn’t eat or drink, but you all saw a vision.

You were observing me, but I wasn’t eating or drinking anything. Instead, you were seeing a vision.

Indeed, I seemed to eat and drink with you, but I make use of an invisible food and drink, which cannot be seen by men.

When you thought you saw me eating, I did not really eat anything; it only seemed so.
