A psalm for Asaph. The God of gods, the Lord hath spoken: and he hath called the earth. From the rising of the sun, to the going down thereof:
When they shall rush in unto Jacob, Israel shall blossom and bud: and they shall fill the face of the world with seed.
And the chief priests and scribes, seeing the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying: Hosanna to the son of David; were moved with indignation.
For which reason also the people came to meet him, because they heard that he had done this miracle.
Now there were certain Gentiles among them, who came up to adore on the festival day.
That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
And they came to John, and said to him: Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou gavest testimony, behold he baptizeth, and all men come to him.
And not finding them, they drew Jason and certain brethren to the rulers of the city, crying: They that set the city in an uproar, are come hither also;
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
