And king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches, and wisdom.


Concerning thy words, and concerning thy wisdom. And I did not believe them that told me, till I came myself, and saw with my own eyes, and have found that the half hath not been told me. Thy wisdom and thy works exceed the fame which I heard.


Behold, I have done for thee according to thy words, and have given thee a wise and understanding heart; insomuch that there hath been no one like thee before thee, nor shall arise after thee.


And the Lord magnified Solomon over all Israel: and gave him the glory of a reign, such as no king of Israel had before him.


And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom: and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him to a high degree.


I have spoken in my heart, saying: Behold I am become great, and have gone beyond all in wisdom, that were before me in Jerusalem: and my mind hath contemplated many things wisely, and I have learned.


Sleep is sweet to a labouring man, whether he eat lttle or much: but the fulness of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
